Trim audio

Cut a range out of an audio file and download it as a WAV, entirely in your browser.

Drop a file here, or choose one.

Runs fully in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Drop or choose an audio file (MP3, WAV, OGG, or M4A, up to 20 minutes long).

  2. Set a start and end time on the player.

  3. Trim, then download the result as a WAV file.

Frequently asked questions

No. The file is decoded and trimmed entirely in your browser - it never leaves your device.

Decoding audio costs about the same amount of memory per second regardless of how compressed the source file is, so the cap is set by length: up to 20 minutes. A small, heavily compressed MP3 uses nearly as much memory as a large WAV of the same length.

A WAV file, decoded from your source and re-encoded for the exact range you chose.

Any MP3, WAV, OGG, or M4A file your browser can already play.
