Video to frames

Extract still frames from a video at a chosen rate or range, and download them as a zip.

Drop a file here, or choose one.

Runs fully in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Drop or choose a video (MP4, WebM, MOV, or Ogg, under 600 MB).

  2. Choose every N seconds or N frames per second, and set a start and end time.

  3. Extract, then download the frames as a zip.

Frequently asked questions

As many as 500 in one run - plenty for a contact sheet or a set of thumbnails. Raise the interval, or shorten the range, if you hit the limit.

No. Frames are captured with your browser's own video decoder and encoded in a background worker - the file never leaves your device, and nothing is fetched from any third party either.

Any MP4, WebM, MOV, or Ogg file your browser can already play.

Yes, set a start and end time and only that range is captured.
