QR code reader
Upload an image containing a QR code and get back the exact text or link it encodes, entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded.
Runs fully in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Your file is ready.
Try a different file, or try again.
How it works
Drop or choose an image containing a QR code (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or BMP, up to 25 MB).
The image decodes automatically - there's no button to press.
Copy the decoded text, or open it directly if it's a safe link.
Frequently asked questions
No - it reads QR codes only. The decoding library behind this tool doesn't support 1D barcodes like EAN or Code128, so a barcode won't scan here.
Yes. Any JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or BMP up to 25 MB works the same way, whether it's a screenshot, a photo you took, or an exported PDF page.
No. The image is decoded entirely in your browser, in a background worker, and never leaves your device.
Not here - this tool is for an image you already have, like a screenshot or a saved photo. For a physical code in front of you, your phone's own camera app already scans it instantly.
You'll get a plain "no QR code found" message, not an error. A very complex or noisy image can also time out after 10 seconds rather than search forever - try a clearer or closer photo of the code.
