How it works

  1. Drop or choose your photo, then pick Feed grid (multiple posts) or Carousel (one post).

  2. Pick a layout - a 3x3 grid down to a single row or column, or a custom size - and watch the live numbered preview update.

  3. Download the zip and post the tiles starting at 01: for a feed grid that's the bottom-right tile first and the top-left tile last; for a carousel it's simply left to right.

Frequently asked questions

An Instagram feed grid is built from separate posts, and your profile always shows the newest post first. To make the tiles line up into one picture, you have to upload them in reverse order - the bottom-right tile first, the top-left tile last. This tool numbers and names every file for that exact order, so you just post them 01, then 02, then 03, and so on.

For a clean 3x3 split, at least 3240x3240 pixels is recommended (1080x1080 per tile). A smaller image still works - you'll see a warning naming the exact recommended size for your chosen layout, and the tiles may look a little soft.

Yes. Switch Purpose to Carousel and the numbering flips to normal order - slide 1 first, slide 2 second, and so on - because a carousel is one post whose photos swipe in the order you uploaded them, never reversed.

Instagram's profile grid preview has been rolling out a taller crop on some accounts, so a square tile can look narrower there than the full square you posted. The dotted line marks that safe area so you can keep faces and text inside it - it's a guideline, not a guaranteed crop, and it never changes the exported file, which is always the full square.
